Annika Barth brings experience in grid modernization and renewable energy policy to her role as senior energy analyst at 804 Advisory. In this capacity, she conducts industry and market research to inform federal, state, and regional strategy for clients.

Prior to joining 804 Advisory, Annika participated in the U.S. Department of Energy’s Energy Innovator Fellowship program as a fellow at the Maryland Public Service Commission. Her fellowship focused on virtual power plants, battery energy storage deployment, distributed energy resource (DER) interconnection, and wholesale market participation for DERs under the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission’s (FERC) Order No. 2222. She previously spent four years at the American Council on Renewable Energy, where she supported philanthropic fundraising and initiatives to expand interregional transmission development, grid enhancing technology deployment, and offshore transmission in close collaboration with federal and regional partners.

Annika holds a master’s degree in energy policy from Johns Hopkins University and completed her undergraduate studies in environmental sciences at American University.
